Is this detox FDA approved?+
Clinoptilolite zeolite has been granted GRAS status, generally recognised as safe, by the FDA. Pure Body is 100% natural, non-toxic and safe for long-term use.
Are there any side effects?+
Zeolite attracts water to help the detoxification process, so a good intake of filtered water is suggested, around eight to ten glasses a day. If any signs of dehydration appear, such as headaches or tiredness, increase your water intake and reduce your serving for that day.
Does the detox contain aluminium?+
No. There is no free aluminium in the zeolite. Aluminium forms part of the molecular structure of the zeolite, and in that form it is completely inert and does not interact with the body in any way, as numerous studies have shown. Research on animals in fact shows that zeolite can be an effective detoxifier of aluminium.
Are there any contraindications with medication?+
Generally, zeolite does not interact with medications or supplements because it focuses on drawing out heavy metals and toxins. The exception is medication that itself contains heavy metals, such as some types of chemotherapy. If you have a specific concern about a medication, please check with your health care provider.
Will the detox remove beneficial minerals?+
Numerous studies attest to the selective nature of clinoptilolite: it takes out toxins and leaves good nutrients alone. The cleansing process also loads the zeolite with beneficial minerals, so it replaces a bad toxin with a good mineral for optimal wellbeing.
Can I take the detox with other supplements?+
Yes. Whole-food supplements are fully bioavailable to the body, unlike synthetics or isolates which can create a weak positive charge, and they are not captured by the zeolite in any way.
Can I take the detox if I have amalgams or hip replacements?+
Yes. Zeolite is biologically inert in the metabolic pathways and will not pull from amalgams, hip replacements or similar implants.
Can I use the detox while pregnant or nursing?+
Clinoptilolite has GRAS status from the FDA and has been studied in pregnant animals, but no studies have been carried out on pregnant or nursing humans. Many holistic doulas and midwives approve its use while nursing or pregnant. As with any supplement, please consult your health care professional first.
Is the Detox Pack a parasite cleanse?+
It is not a parasite cleanse itself. The detox helps remove toxic metals and environmental toxins, and many people find parasites begin to pass simply because removing toxins takes away what parasites use to hide from the immune system and thrive. If you choose to use a parasite cleanse such as Para-Shield, continue the detox alongside it as it acts as a binder.
Do I need to test for toxicity first?+
Testing is a personal choice. Most people begin the detox without any prior testing, simply because toxicity is unavoidable in the world we live in and we all carry toxins to some degree.
What happens after I stop?+
Every toxin removed during the detox is gone, your body has passed it. That said, we are constantly exposed to sources of toxicity, some within our control and some not. When re-exposure happens, toxins can begin to build up again, which is why many choose to continue daily use.
